Modern Void exploration no longer involved any exploration, but aims to find the fastest possible manipulations of RAM to get to a given goal. Since the discovery of Wrong Warps and Ledgecanceling, no simple route takes over 10 minutes.
==Background==
In January 2016, a method for discovering Arceus through a trick known as the "[[RETIRE glitch]]" (named after a menu option that was only intended to be used in Pal Park) was discovered.
When selecting RETIRE, the game runs 4th script in runtime. Since Arceus their battle script is listed as both number 2 and 4, it is accesible with this glitch.
This trick works by running Hall of Origin's script 3 upon choosing to retire.
This is one of the only unique instances of a script being listed twice in runtime.
Additionally segments of the Hall of Origin were originally available through the use of tweaking (without the retire trick) in the past, although none allowed the player to encounter Arceus.

Note: If you are in the void and want to save, but you can't open the menu, '''don't''' use the Explorer Kit. If you can't open the menu, it's probably a bad idea to save.
