Reason given: Test to confirm which forms are bugged and to look for exceptions. Test to see or determine if there is a method to getting other Pokémon to be affected, such as with moves like Mirror Move. Test when Pokémon HOME is available if the Heavy Ball alters the Catch Rate to make Ditto catchable. Determine why this even happens

The Ditto transformation form catch rate glitch is a glitch which occurs in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This glitch causes wild Ditto to become uncatchable.

Explanation

When a wild Ditto uses the move Transform, the player's current Pokémon is copied by Ditto. While Ditto copies a number of attributes of the opposing Pokémon, it does not change its Catch Rate in Generation IX. However, when used on a Pokémon with more than one form, Ditto will no longer be catchable dependent on which form it copied. When this glitch occurs, Ditto will always break out of the used Poké Ball without it shaking.

Effects

The following Pokémon forms are confirmed to be uncatchable while Ditto is transformed into them:

  • Rotom (Mow form, Wash form)
  • Scatterbug (Fancy Pattern form)
  • Spewpa (Fancy Pattern form)
  • Vivillon (Fancy Pattern form)
  • Floette (Orange Flower form)
  • Eiscue (Noice Face form)
  • Maushold (Family of Four form)
  • Tatsugiri (Stretchy form)
  • Oinkologne (Female)
  • Wooper (Paldean regional form)

Use of a Master Ball overrides this glitch and automatically catches Ditto no matter what it is transformed into.
