Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru (known in English as The Frog for Whom the Bell Tolls) is a Game Boy game. It features the adventures of a prince originally regarded as naive, who learns from his friends and rescues the citizens from King Delarin before his rival Prince Richard. The prince has the ability to transform between both a frog (using an apple), and a snake (using an egg), hence the name. Kaeru also means "change(s)". The game would eventually receive a fan translation, and is known for its automatic combat system. It also is referenced in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.

Double jump

This double jump exploit was documented by Ryuto138 in their error compilation, and is abused in TAS(s). Namely, the player after jumping, then using an apple, seems to have a frame to be able to jump again. This allows the player to sequence break, access a placeholder room, and ultimately corrupt the memory.
