This article details various glitch meta-map scripts for Route 16's gate in Pokémon Red and Blue. The script is controlled by memory address D660.

  • 0x01, 0x02: "No pedestrians are allowed on CYCLING ROAD!"
  • 0x03: Guard will check if he can see the player character and stop him if he doesn't have the Bicycle.
  • 0x04, 0x06, 0x08, 0x12: Unknown/game does not freeze
  • 0x05: Arbitrary code execution of WRA0:C057
  • 0x07: Arbitrary code execution of WRA0:CD57
  • 0x09: Freeze due to Invalid opcode at 1A:5177 (0xFC)
  • 0x0A: Arbitrary code execution of ECH0:E003 (C003)
  • 0x0B: Arbitrary code execution of CD8C
  • 0x0C: Continuous 4 ERROR., or Start menu pops up if player walks, or glitch dialog followed by #6 ERROR if Pokémon menu was opened
  • 0x0D: Arbitrary code execution of ECH0:E0AF (C0AF)
  • 0x0E: Arbitrary code execution of ECH1:FAB4 (DAB4)
  • 0x0F: Arbitrary code execution of WRA0:CD3D
  • 0x10, 0x11: Game freeze
  • 0x13: Freeze due to invalid opcode at ROM0:3DD0 (0xED)
  • 0x14: Freeze due to invalid opcode at ROM0:38EB (0xD3)
  • 0x15: May Fly player to Saffron City gate (Route 7) Glitch City and then cause arbitrary code execution of ECH1:FAC9 (DAC9). No known way to avoid a freeze (yet).
