Opposing roster corruption is a currently unexplained sub-glitch of the expanded party. If the player has exactly 43 (0x2B) Pokémon and battles a certain Trainer (not all work), the player may corrupt one of the Pokémon yet to come out. With the Rocket in Cerulean City who gives out the Dig TM, it can force them to send out a Level 1 Machop with excessive HP, after the Poké Ball icons have indicated that the Rocket is going to send out a Pokémon but none have fainted.
