The Pokédex buffer overflow is a glitch in Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow which only occurs if Pokémon No. 152 is registered as owned and no Pokémon in the Pokédex at all are seen. It corrupts large amount of data from $D6C8 onward with Pokémon/glitch Pokémon name bytes; temporarily from the CD6D buffer but the previous data there is corrupted with it. This freezes the game, sometimes with corrupted music/sound effects.
