A setup for exactly 33037

Assuming I'm reading the RSE damage formula right, this should be able to check for the behavior of that exact value without out-of-bounds HP behavior or Endeavor.

You need: a Substitute/Baton Pass user (to make things easier to set up) a level 82 Kyogre with Calm Mind/Water Spout holding Mystic Water, and a special attack stat of exactly 359 (one point off its maximum at that level). For convenience, it would help if its maximum HP were exactly 300 as well.

Wear Kyogre down against random things until its HP falls to 274/300, so that Water Spout is set to have 137 power.

Go to route 101 and look for a level-2 encounter with a -SpD nature. (If it's a Zigzagoon, the SpD IV also needs to be 17 or less; the point is to have a raw stat of 5 points). Put up a Substitute, and Baton Pass into Kyogre to make sure the opponent isn't going to deal any damage to your actual HP.

With Kyogre, use 2 Calm Minds and then Water Spout. From what I see, badge stat boosts shouldn't apply in wild battles, only against trainers, but if that's wrong then simply remove the Mystic Water, which makes the same correction to the stat. 359 plus either Mystic Water or the special badge boost, and then +2, lands on 788.

Assuming you get the top random roll, that should result in a damage figure of exactly 33037, without making use of a type weakness. SadisticMystic (talk) 17:48, 14 December 2018 (-06)
