An image or multiple images in this article are of poor quality and need replacing.

If possible, please reupload the image(s) at emulator quality, without changing the emulator's resolution. An image from a capture card would also be an improvement to an image taken from a camera.

The 3D effect glitch, also known the graphics cache flushing oversight is a glitch in Pokémon X and Y that causes incorrect graphics data (either whiteness or graphics from another location) to be displayed on screen for the left eye. It occurs in the latest version of the game.

The glitch performed inside Frost Cavern. Note that an entrance has appeared.

Steps

  • Go to Frost Cavern, north of Dendemille Town, with a Pokémon knowing Surf.
  • Turn on the 3D effect somewhere, and then keep it off.
  • Re-activate the 3D effect for the animation for when Surf is about to be used.
