An alternative version of the northern part of Route 104 exists within the engine of the final version of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. This map remains inaccessible without the use of a cheating device.
An alternative version of the northern part of Route 104 exists within the engine of the final version of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, although this map remains inaccesible without the use of a game-altering device. This map is likely to have been identical to the altered Route 104 in the Pokémon Festa 2002 demo, which contained a warp to a closed version of the Pretty Petal Flower Shop and included several NPCs from the demo whom removed from the final game, for example; one informing the player that the florists inside the Flower Shop have left however, the specified tileset for the map background no longer exists, meaning that graphical glitches would persist. The default dimensions are 1x1 tile, which may suggest that either the developers wanted to denote a map which was not going to be used in the final game to other staff or that the size of the map was left undefined, hence using a default size of 1x1 tile.

These maps still exist in Pokémon Emerald, but the event data for them was removed.

The dimensions of this map are 1x1 tile, meaning that it needs to be modified to be able to see every NPC. There is probably no tileset for it; the image above just uses a blue background for the map.
