Bonsly refers to a valid Generation IV Pokémon.
Prior to Generation IV Bonsly also appears in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness as both an NPC character and as a Pokémon available to battle with in Realgam Tower's Battle Bingo minigame, where it only knows Rock Slide.
By using a cheating device Bonsly may also be obtained in the party where it serves as a glitch Pokémon. Unfortunately, attempting to trade the 0x019D ?????????? from a Generation III game on to Pokémon XD will not work, as the party checker considers it an illegal Pokémon.

These codes replace the first Pokémon in the party with Bonsly.
