Celebi glitch (party method): Difference between revisions

This glitch can also be used to get any Pokémon in the game. The third move of the Sneasel used in this example was Beat Up. Beat Up has a hexadecimal [[identifier]] of FB; which in standard decimal is identical to Celebi's index number (251). So if the player changed Beat Up to a move such as Detect with a [[hexadecimal]] identifier of C5 then Umbreon (also with a [[hexadecimal]] identifier of C5) -- would be the end result. It is the move, not the Pokémon, that matters; Sneasel is used because it is the only Pokémon that can legitimitely learn Beat Up without the use of a [[game-alteringcheating device]] or another glitch.
