The DVs of a Ditto in Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow can be made to match one of the user's Pokémon.
If an enemy Pokémon uses Transform, and then the user transforms into the Pokémon which used Transform, and then the opponent uses Transform again, the opponent may become a Ditto with the same DVs as the user after it is caught.
