The term equivalent trade Glitch Pokémon refers to any one of two or more Glitch Pokémon which share the same hexadecimal identifier. 'M for example, when transferred to Pokémon Yellow will become 3trainerpoké which suggests that 3trainerpoké is an equivalent trade Glitch Pokémon of 'M and 'M is an equivalent trade Glitch Pokémon of 3trainerpoké.
Equivalent trade Pokémon often have completely different cries, base stats and moves. As a result of this, some Glitch Pokémon, especially those which crash the game when encountered via the Ditto Trick are most easily obtained through an equivalent trade.
