The evolution move learning glitch is a glitch in Pokémon Sun and Moon versions that occurs without the v1.1 (or v1.2) patch.
Certain Pokémon will not learn moves they are supposed to after evolving. Examples include Butterfree (evolved from Metapod at level 11) not learning Confusion (which it is supposed to learn at both level 1 and 11) and Kadabra (evolved from Abra at level 16) not learning Confusion (which it is supposed to learn at both level 1 and 16).
