This glitch technique and its variations, allow the player to obtain the Master Ball without fighting Giovanni.

Method

  1. Do Trainer escape glitch on a Rocket on Silph. Co. 11F
  2. Change PC boxes and reset the game (reenables Start)
  3. Push a Strength boulder at Saffron City warden's house (counts as "Trainer finished walking"
  4. Return to Silph. Co. 11F with the lift as the last text box opened (do not press Start).
  5. Giovanni will give you the Master Ball without the need to fight him. The other method in the video still needs some research.
