Line 6:
A glitch myth is that if the player captures a MissingNo. or 'M, his or her save file will be erased. While glitchy occurrences happen such as messed up graphics and messed up Hall of Fame data, they can not cause more significant damage to a save file such as erasing it (messed up graphics can be fixed by viewing the stats of a non-glitch Pokémon).
PokéGod rumors
PokéGod rumors are rumors of "secret" Pokémon, often in the Red, Blue, and Yellow versions of Pokémon. Common rumors include talking to Professor Oak a number of times earning the player a "PokéGod". Also, fake cheats involving hidden non-glitched maps, HMs above HM05fact, and happenings unfitting to the Pokémon series (e.g. Professor Oak giving the player a slap in the face) usually fall into this category, as they have no truth to them.

Receiving Mew without means of a glitch
There have also been rumors about people being able to receive Mew without a cheating device, real-world event or real glitch, such as the Mew Trick.
