Glitch time periods (also referred to as glitch time zones) can be found in Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal. Normal time periods are stored as 00 (morning), 01 (noon), 02 (evening). A third time period, value 03, nicknamed "late night" is fully black. Playing the game with this time period active can result in unintended/glitch Pokémon in the wild.
Game Genie codes xx0-3fb-193, 3e0-3eb-6e6 will allow glitch time periods to be accessed in English Gold/Silver (where xx should be replaced with 03 or above).
