#REDIRECT Infinite item glitches (disambiguation)
Disambig

The term Infinite Rare Candies is commonly used by players to refer to the result of a glitch or a game-altering device, which if repeated would potentially allow the player to recieve, an unlimited amount of Rare Candies.

The term may refer to a possible consequence of one of the following glitches, all of these glitches also allow the player to duplicate any other item, such as a Master Ball:

#MISSINGNO. (name) - Any identifier for a glitch Pokémon which uses the error handler "MISSINGNO." may increase the amount of items the player has in the sixth item of the player's bag by either 128 or 255 if either its encounter flag or capture flag was activated, respectively. An exception to the process is if it the game would attempt to manage a value greater than 256, instead of reducing the item quantity by modulo 256, the game would not increase the quantity of the sixth item in the player's bag.
#Old Man Trick - The Old Man Trick is often referred to as the "Infinite Rare Candies" glitch because of the fact that multiple variations of MISSINGNO, commonly the one with an identifier of 1F can appear on the land strip.
#Item Slot Duplication - After 255 Rare Candies are recieved, the player can take advantage of the Item Slot Duplication glitch to recieve up to 5100 items in his or her item pack.
#Ditto Trick - By forcing a variation of MISSINGNO. to appear, the player is able to duplicate items in the same way that they are able to via the Old Man Trick.
