The PP Up (Japanese: ポイントアップ Point Up) is an unobtainable and dummy item in Pokémon Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow. It is an unused and unusable copy of the used PP Up with different values set for the prices.
This item was not always a PP Up during the development of Pokémon Red and Green.[1]
As a dummy item, using it will always return Professor Oak's "OAK: (PLAYER)! This isn't the time to use that!" message.
