(hex:7C) is a glitch item in Pokémon Yellow. It is an unterminated name glitch item.
Using this glitch item outside of battle with a 0x50 sub-tile saved in the early screen data will result in the player throwing a Poké Ball with one of Professor Oak's 'good' Pokédex jingles. This Poké Ball rolls 256 times until a glitchy sprite appears, Hyper Beam's animation is played and another Poké Ball is thrown, however the game then freezes.
If an early 0x50 sub-tile is forced on to the screen in battle (e.g. with arbitrary code execution) this glitch item may have the same effect but without the glitch sprite, or if in a Trainer battle, allow the player to steal Pokémon (the same effect as ♀へん ちぉダグのへた).
If the sub-tile is not on the screen, the game may freeze the game due to the item not being an unterminated name glitch item.
