Its name "ゴールドバッヂ" (GoldBadge) is taken from the [[unused Japanese list strings (Generation I)|unused Japanese list strings]], and is not to be confused with the actual MarshBadge (ゴールドバッジ, ''Gold Badge'').
Using this glitch item will bring up the Pokémon Center nurse's text and allow the player to heal their Pokémon from anywhere. Upon healing Pokémon or cancelling out, sprites will disappear as will the ability to move until the player presses B, or A followed by B.
