The level display glitch was a Global Trade System glitch reported only in US versions (apparently early ones) of Pokémon Platinum, where the game would not display the level range wanted for Pokémon found through the 'seek Pokémon' option.
As of May 20th, 2014, the Global Trade System is no longer accessible in Pokémon Platinum due to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection being discontinued.
