The first two numbers probably indicate the factory where the game was manufactured.{{fact}} The letter probably indicates either the version of the game, or if it is considered as the master copy ("M"); as in the official (final) version.{{fact}} Note Japanese Yellow revisions with letters go from A to D, even though only four versions (including v1.0 which does not carry a letter) are confirmed. No letter indicates v1.0, A indicates v1.1, B indicates v1.2 and so on.
