The '''Mimic glitch''' is a glitch in Japanese versions of {{DP}} that allows the player to have a Pokémon with [[bp:Mimic (move)|Mimic]] copy the entire moveset of another Pokémon.
The '''Mimic glitch''' is a less commonly known [[glitch]] which is similar to the [[Surf through Elite Four door Glitch]] in the sense that the glitch only exists in earlier builds of the Japanese versions of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. By using this [[glitch]] players can essentially give a Pokémon already knowing Mimic or Transform any moveset. This glitch is similar to the [[Q Trick]] of Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow as the '''Mimic Glitch''' eventually involves the player's Pokémon copying the moves of one of his or her other Pokémon. #Access to a double battle through either unbattled trainers or the VS Seeker.
#APrepare a Ditto or anyand Pokémon with Mimic in the movefirst and second positions of the Transformparty.
#Enter a double battle on [[bp:Sinnoh Route 209|Route 209]] with Ty and Sue, using the Vs. Seeker to enable a battle with them, if necessary.
#A Pokémon with the desired moves to be copied onto another Pokémon (preferably Smeargle because from Sketch it can learn every legitimate move except Chatter and Struggle).
#When the battle starts, have Ditto transform into the opponent.
#A Pokémon with Mimic or Transform, (the one whose moves will be changed at the end of the glitch).
#Have the Pokémon with Mimic successfully mimic the user's Transform (requires Transform to be the target's last move).
#Switch the Ditto into a Pokémon of your choice, then have the Pokémon that mimicked Transform transform into it.
#Have the Pokémon that originally knew Mimic faint, then end the battle.
