The '''Mute the Music in Route 214 Glitch''' or "'''''Sendoff Spring to Silent Spring Glitch'''''" is a minor glitch involves the player muting the music in Route 214. It only exists in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl because Pokémon Platinum features a slightly different game engine and also because of the fact the music from Spring Path was changed from the music from the Old Chateau to the normal music from Route 214.

It was fixed in {{Platinum}}, where Route 214's theme plays in [[bp:Spring Path|Spring Path]] and [[bp:Sendoff Spring|Sendoff Spring]], instead of the eerie music heard in [[bp:Old Chateau|Old Chateau]].
#The player needs a Bicycle.
#The player also needs to have beaten the Pokémon League, so that he or she can access Spring Path and Sendoff Spring.▼

==Method==
 
#Use the Bicycle on Route 214 and ensure that the Cycling music is playing.
#Travel through a gap to the right of the route, leading to Spring Path, the Bicycle music should stop now.
#Whilst still on the Bicycle, travel to Sendoff Spring.▼
#Turn back and procede back through Spring Path and onto Route 214.
#The music will have become muted, until the player leaves the route.

#Go to [[bp:Veilstone City|Veilstone City]] then go south into Route 214.
#Ride the Bicycle, then go down and right into Spring Path.
▲#WhilstGo still oninto the Bicycle, travelentrance to Sendoff Spring.
#Go back into Spring Path.
#Go back to Route 214.
 
The music for Route 214 will be muted until you enter a wild Pokémon battle, go back to Sendoff Spring or go to another route, or go on the Bicycle, dismounting it if necessary (it's possible to go off the Bicycle after going into Spring Path and have the glitch work).
