from a Pokémon game which was only released in Japan.
This glitch is revision specific to revision v1.1. See this article for more information.
Both the user and the foe fainting after the foe fainting from the partial trapping move.

The partial trapping move wrong side fainting glitch is a natural glitch only found in the v1.1 revisions of Pokémon Red and Green.

When the user of a partial trapping move faints due to the effects of a burn or poison during the partial trapping effect, the opposing side will 'faint' in addition to the Pokémon that fainted due to the burn or poison, complete with the fainting sound for the opposing side.

Although the opposing side's Pokémon fainted, it can be sent back in to the battle with full HP. Additionally, it is possible to abuse this glitch to cause a communication error in which player 2 sends out a freezing glitch Pokémon.
