There are currently no cheat codes for later generations, because unlike Generations I and II core games, there seem to be codes specific to more devices (while in the past; the examples of non-encrypted Xploder and GameShark codes would work the same) and using "GameShark" to list them all may not be appropriate. Another issue is in general, the later the generation, the more likely codes are revision or localisation specific (even within the same language), for example codes for US and other non-US English variants of Nintendo DS games.

Users are invited to discuss the following on the talk page: Should we allow later generation cheat codes? How could we structure such a page?

This article lists GameShark codes for the main handheld Pokémon games up to Generation II. They also work for Xploder GB.

To find identifiers (the value for '??' or 'xx') for glitch Pokémon, items, moves or letters, use the Big HEX List. Users are welcome to put these in the code archives too.

Please report any broken codes on the respective article's talk page, or on the forums.
