The 'Silph Co. 11F above lift door glitch occurs in Pokémon Red and Blue. It does not occur in Pokémon Yellow, which makes the player automatically step down after leaving the elevator.
In Pokémon Red and Blue, if you take the lift to Silph Co.'s 11F and exit it, the player character appears on the lift and you can press up to enter it again. If you enter the lift this way, the exit mats inside of the lift will work (even if you do not move).
This glitch can lead to the Silph Co. 11F lift blocked exit glitch.
