The Sky Drop glitch is a glitch in Pokémon Black and White. The glitch was discovered in the Japanese versions of the games and was known as the Freefall glitch by English players prior to the official localization of the game.
After its discovery, the use of Sky Drop was banned in random Wi-Fi matches starting from November 10, 2010. Despite this, the glitch persists in North American and European localizations of Pokémon Black and White after the games were officially translated.
Method and effects
The Sky Drop glitch only occurs in Double Battles and Triple Battles when Gravity is used while two Pokémon are in the air from after using Sky Drop. After Gravity is used, the move will bring the user of Sky Drop down, but opponent becomes unable to make a move throughout the battle, unless the user is knocked out or switches.
