HM01 is a wrong pocket TM in Pokémon Gold. Its description is "Cuts using claws, scythes, etc.".
Effect
Using HM01 results in a prompt for the player to give a nickname to a Pokémon. This may be either a Pokémon in the party or a glitch Pokémon.
Upon choosing No or finishing to nickname the Pokémon the game may reset in a Glitch Dimension.
In French, German and Korean versions, as well as English Silver, HM01 does not reset the game and can be used to nickname Pokémon, including 'outsider Pokémon' (those without the player's OT and ID) and Eggs.
