I'm not really sure. All I know is that the bulbapedia version summarizing the glitch seemed to imply there was an ingame sound settings change..? - MZDMommy

oh shit. well, if you want, feel free to delete or edit it back. apologies for the confusion!! - MZDMommy
Thank you :). Well the wiki is just a little bit inactive, there are still many glitches that GCL still already know which aren't on here yet. I just feel it to be the right thing to add them. --Torchickens 08:07, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

I'm planning, after the wtw glitch, to do Some research on the text box matching method of the tfly glitch ; if you prefer another glitch I'm okay. Btw, do my explanations are correct ? I'm often told that I'm not clear.
I may have a breakthrough (TMTRAINER outside of battle?)
GCL lives !
When I was messing with my cooltrainer ditto I used a PP up on it's first move, and it said 's PP is maxed out as usual but then the name of all 4 blank moves became vicegrip. So I did it on the second one and it said "Vicegrip's PP increased". Interesting. I viewed Ditto's stats screen but there were no moves, just "PP" where it would show the PP. Nothing unsusual.

This is where it got wierd.

The music faded out like the TMTRAINER effect but I wasn't in battle! Then my character did the walking animation as if he was walking down into ome invisible wall for a few steps (with that bump bump noise).

So then I went into the grass and got a battle. Pidgey, nothing strange. I hovered over Ditto's move and it had no type. I pressed B and a TMTRAINER style effect happened, music faded, Rhydon (I think) noise, as usual but the opponent was displayed as sleep, and it's name was part of the menu. I captured it and.......

Wild HITMONCHAN was caught!

So I went to the PC and sure enough a level 57 himtonchan asleep with a huge glitch health bar and normal hitmonchan moves.

Wierd.

I can't replicate it though and I didn't save.

It was on a real version of Pokémon Blue with no cheats and in Route 1.

Any thoughts?

I think that I might be able to explain; when regarding interfaces which list Pokémon, Items, Moves and other aspects of the game those Pokémon, Items and Moves list properly structured data up to a particular slot for example 7 if the player has six Pokémon in his or her party. This is almost the same kind of thing when you experimented with Ditto's Cooltrainer type move which corresponds to a hexadecimal identifier of 00. When regarding the moves below the Cooltrainer type move it is almost unpredictable to predict what they are without properly analysing the structure of the game because this data corresponds to how the game displays information from other bytes.

When you used the PP Up effectively this was like 'scrambling bytes' because the amount of PP Vicegrip had must have corresponded to something else, hence the really weird effects afterwards.

This is a really interesting subject though, it is along the lines how they discovered the Doko-Kashira Door Glitch on Pokémon Green. The player used to be able to switch items and Pokémon but what Nintendo missed was that players could also switch Pokémon with items! When he or she switches Oak's Parcel with Bulbasaur this will move Oak's Parcel to a slot past 01 in the Party screen and also 'shuffle' lots of data, particularly a combination of bytes which will make the next warp relative to the number of steps the player walks. --Torchickens 22:44, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

Black belt eddie
Do we know why the glitch doesn't always activate? OwnageMuch 19:58, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
::It only exists within Pokémon Platinum, but I'm not sure apparantly I have already battled him before, so perhaps I was just spamming the A button lol. --Torchickens 11:56, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
::::I mean, why does it not happen to all players of Platinum? There must be another variable affecting it. OwnageMuch 02:44, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Jubilife music
I don't know, because tweaking into a void is only done form Jubilife. There may be other areas you can get into the void from in other areas and they might also possibly cause alternate arrngements of music.

I acually like the alternate one better :D

Hi
Would you mind deleting this page (since you can and I can't)? I created a crappy delete template and edited the page however that's all I can do. OwnageMuch 03:53, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

Also, great to see you're back too. OwnageMuch 03:54, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

:What so flame is OK now? Anyway thanks for sorting that template out too (even though it probably won't ever get used) OwnageMuch 21:31, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
