In some games like [[bp:Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!|Pokémon: Let's Go]], spending one Pokémon's turn using an X item on another Pokémon is an intended mechanic, as the game allows the player to choose the target. However, in other games (including Pokémon Colosseum), an X-item can normally only be used on a Pokémon on its own turn, hence this glitch is needed to perform this maneuver in battle. |
