??? (glitch item)
The ??? are a group of glitch items which appear in some[clarification needed] Pokémon games beyond Generation III, including in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Like Octomark, it is a placeholder item, and may fill out spaces in the index order that were never meant to be used.
