A full map of the Empty Blue Room in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, note that various trainers exist here whom are not used in the final game

Within the coding of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire a rather large blue map corresponding to Route 104 exists within the game; however this is normally inaccesible within the games without the use of a Game-altering device. It is unknown why Nintendo decided to design the large blue room however it may have been a test room for testing whether battles and in-game events performed up to their standards.

Notably, none of these trainers have been used in the final game.
