Pokédex sorting 0xCF is a glitch Pokédex sorting in Pokémon Crystal.
Effect
- Unknown effect/game does not freeze after opening listing.
- Pressing A to open the mode selection screen may bring up a black screen, where the player can press A a variable number of times to play the new line sound effect each time. Corruption of the screen and glitch music may follow, including possibly arbitrary code execution (i.e. 89EA in VRAM).
When accessed with C7D8 method
- Changing C7D8 to 0xCF may cause arbitrary code execution at region 9007 in VRAM. VRAM may be locked during execution, resulting in a Glitch Dimension with the "This Game Pak is designed only for use on the Game Boy Color." message.
