Pokédex sorting 0xDC is a glitch Pokédex sorting in Pokémon Crystal.
Effect
- Unknown effect/game does not freeze after opening listing.
- Can press Select to get to mode selection screen, where description may be "(unknown name) Y99HCD?99Ä99699,92q'9ÄBB9HHONMPHH??9?A9''9'Ä₽9₽99??9?BND 99P 99PZ9ぇ99q9‖q898i9Q29699199p99 9 9??9DMPQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQüäüä?? ??PoKéPkMn????QQQQ ぉ CLIBa?qLBB 'rö??????D zQQQOPOP" or similar. Exiting out may load only Kingdra on the menu possibly with Magikarp's sprite, and change the last Pokédex sorting to 0xE6. Pressing A may cause arbitrary code execution at region CF7A in RAM. Can be ended with only a ret with no known issues.
When accessed with C7D8 method
- Pressing A may shift the mode selection screen to the right slightly, and later cause arbitrary code execution at region 9007 in VRAM. VRAM may be locked, resulting in a Glitch Dimension with the "This Game Pak is designed only for use on the Game Boy Color." message.
