The Evolving Wailmer Surf glitch is a natural glitch in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
Summary
The glitch involves a game freeze caused by an evolving Wailmer. If the player is Surfing, encounters a Pokémon with a rod, and then levels up the Wailmer to evolve it, the game may freeze with the music still playing. However, the player is still free to reset the game with the L+R+Start/Select sequence, or another means of resetting or powering off the game.
