The experience division by 0 glitch is a glitch in Pokémon Yellow. There is no known way to execute it in Pokémon Red and Blue.

This glitch applies to glitch Pokémon with an experience group of 0x95 (Glitch (0xCA)) or 0xFF (4(h4? (0xED)).

It is seemingly not possible to exit the status screen for these glitch Pokémon, use Rare Candies on them, withdraw them from a box, or exit the "Do you want to give a nickname to X?" query.

This is because the growth rate involves a division by zero, causing the game to lock up before the experience is calculated.

As a stable, non-hybrid glitch Pokémon it seems that the game cannot calculate the Pokémon's current level, or the amount of experience to the next level.

However, if the Pokémon is an unstable hybrid glitch Pokémon and the donor is another Pokémon such as Rhydon, it is possible to view the amount of experience to the next level.
