In Generation III of the Pokémon games and onwards, a Glitch ribbon refers to any ribbon with data which has not been properly defined by the game developers. In the handheld Generation III Pokémon games these 'ribbons' occupy hexadecimal identifiers 41-FF (65 to 255 in standard decimal).

Glitch ribbons share the effects of other glitches in the Pokémon games such as several Glitch Pokémon in Generation I in the sense that they will give glitch dialog as their descriptions.
