List (Red/Blue)

- Game probably uses a different run function with Safari Zone than with other types. - Battle type does not affect encounter system 03

  • 00: Glitchy Trainer battle. Balls can't be used, but are not dodged. Overworld items can be used. Running is impossible. With Old Man, causes game to lock up. With Safari Game, can't use balls, but bait and rocks can be thrown. Pokémon can run
  • 01: Wild Battle.
  • 02: Trainer Battle. With Old Man, pokemon can run after the ball is blocked. With Safari zone pokémon can run and you can also run.
  • 03: Glitchy trainer battle When using ball, wobbling animation plays at wrong place and your own pokemon is removed. After a while, game says that the trainer has blocked the ball. Pokémon from opponent never faint. With Old Man, causes the ball to be blocked and Old Man to play an attack animation. Pokémon can run.

Safari Zone causes similar effect to 02

  • 04: Same as 03, except wobble removed the right pokemon. Pokemon is removed immediately from screen. Pokémon can run. You can also run with safari zone setting
  • 05: same. With Old Man seems to do the same as 04
  • 06 same as 03:
  • 07: same as 04 and 05

It seems there only three glitch battle types, which repeat every three entries.
