(hex:5E) is a glitch item in Pokémon Red and Blue. It takes its name from floor destinations in a lift.

If used outside of battle, it leaves the menu box graphics open but technically closes it. The screen data will be saved if the player opens the start menu however, making it useful for glitches such as Rival LOL glitch.

In a non-scripted wild Pokémon battle, it leaves the menu box open but allows the player to open the menu with Start and partially escape from battle.

In a scripted wild Pokémon battle or a Trainer battle it causes the battle to restart.

Repeated use of this glitch item can be used for corruption of the stack.

If a direction on the D-pad is held while using the item, the game will attempt to warp the player to Saffron City Poke Mart's Out of bounds Glitch City, but this will result in a CFC4 freeze unless the item is used in battle.
