Its name is taken from the untranslated unused string "ひよこ" (Chick) from the Japanese versions, resulting in mojibake. ひよこ is also the name of the hex:6C glitch item in the Japanese versions.

The effects of this glitch item are unknown, as nothing noticeable has been observed after using the glitch item both in and outside of battle.
