As it is an unterminated name glitch item, it can be used for other screen data exploits as well, like [[LOL glitch]] or will usually cause the [[TMTRAINER effect]] in battle.
In other occasions from outside of battle for when the 0x50 sub-tile is later on the screen, the glitch item may act as a screen data saving glitch item or result in a battle with the Hooked Metapod, depending on where the 0x50 sub-tile is.
Using this glitch item with a [[0x50 sub-tile]] early on the screen will result in [[arbitrary code execution]] at memory address $D887 in WRAM.
