(hex:96) is a glitch item in Pokémon Red and Blue.

Using this glitch item from both outside of and within battle will throw a rock, like in the Safari Zone. This includes doubling the foe's catch rate constant.

If on the 'overworld' (02) sound bank, it will also play an isolated channel of a tune (possibly the 'follow me' theme). If used on the 'dungeon' (1F) sound bank it will instead play an isolated channel of the title screen music.

This glitch item shares its effect pointer with item $16 (CASCADEBADGE).
