(hex:99) is a glitch item in Pokémon Red and Blue.

Using this glitch item from both within and outside of a battle may result in Professor Oak's message that it isn't the time to use the item.

This glitch item can appear in the inventory from a relatively extensive ZZAZZ glitch corruption, due to its index number 0x99 (dec:153). Two known examples are from Jacred (hex:00) (from a Special stat of 200 in the Ditto trick's fifth and eighth rosters. These are accessible by modifying the foe's Attack stage to -2 or +1 before forcing the encounter.
