The term "morphing glitch" may refer to:
- Pokémon displayed as the wrong species on the Global Trading System.
- Transform into a Ditto - A glitch exclusive to the Generation I and II Pokémon games. If a wild Pokémon transforms into another Pokémon, that Pokémon when caught will always be a Ditto, even if the transforming Pokémon was not. This can be performed without the use of a game-altering device if the opponent uses Mirror Move after the player uses Transform.
- A minor side-effect of using a walk through walls code on Pokémon Gold and Silver, or leaving an area without the game reloading any graphics. Sometimes if the player walks out of a location in such a way that is usually impossible the sprites of other characters will change, most commonly to that of the player's.
- A side effect of cycling based glitch maps on Pokémon Yellow, which when entered, will usually change the player's sprite into that of another character.
