The mystery Egg glitch is a glitch in Pokémon X and Y, where an Egg said to have been obtained from Mystery Zone on '0/0/2000' appears in the Pokémon Storage System.
'Mystery Eggs' have been compared to Bad Eggs. Like Bad Eggs, they seemingly never hatch, however, mystery Eggs are not referred to as Bad Eggs by the game.
Theory
The properties of a mystery Egg may be 'zeroed out' Egg data. Mystery Zone is place origin #0, according to here, and January 0, 2000 is seen for undefined date information in Generation IV, so 0/0/2000 may be the Generation VI equivalent.
