Pewter Gym skip glitch | Walk through walls trick (Youngster method)

This glitch allows you to skip the first gym in Pokémon Red and Blue (although it was fixed in some versions such as the Spanish version).

Requirements

• The player can not have beaten the first Gym.

Procedure

1. Open the START menu and move the arrow to "SAVE", then exit the menu by pressing B.
2. Try to enter Route 3, making the boy speak to you.
3. Once he says "Follow me!", press B to end the conversation and immediately press the START button.
4. Save the game. If the game is not reset the player will walk to the gym alone.
5. Restart the game.
6. The boy will disappear, walk in from the left, then begin talking again.
7. He will still insist on taking the player to the gym, but will walk there oddly.
8. Go back to the entrance to Route 3, and walk directly across the top spot where the boy used to be standing.
