This [[glitch]] lets you see the true form of a ghost in the Pokémon Tower. Although you can see the Pokémon the ghost actually is, you cannot catch or battle this Pokémon without a Silph Scope. ▼

== Explanation ==
On the stats screen, the selected Pokémon's sprite is displayed using the same area of the VRAM, vFrontPic (49 tiles, from tile $00 to tile $30), as the enemy Pokémon's sprite in battle. Therefore, when closing the stats screen, the enemy Pokémon's sprite needs to be reloaded. Although the special cases of [[Minimize and Substitute glitch|minimized enemy and enemy with substitute]] are handled, the special case of a ghost battle has apparently been forgotten.
