The '''See a Ghost without a Silph Scope''' [[glitch]] allows the player to see the true form of a ghost in the Pokémon Tower. Although through the use of this glitch, the player can see the Pokémon the ghost actually is, he or she cannot catch or battle this Pokémon without a Silph Scope.

== Explanation ==
On the stats screen, the selected Pokémon's sprite is displayed using the same area of the VRAM, vFrontPic (49 tiles, from tile $00 to tile $30), as the enemy Pokémon's sprite in battle. Therefore, when closing the stats screen, the enemy Pokémon's sprite needs to be reloaded. Although the special cases of [[Minimize and Substitute glitch|minimized enemy and enemy with substitute]] are handled, the special case of a ghost battle has apparently been forgotten.
